Route to Exile is an educational programme developed by the Associations Be Wild, Be Proud and Ruta al Exilio with the support of the Youth Institute of Spain (Injuve) of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Agenda 2030 in collaboration with the European Observatory on Memories of the University of Barcelona Solidarity Foundation, the Foundation Daniel & Nina Carasso and the Memory Institute of the Government of Navarre. The project is co-funded by the CERV programme of the European Commission.
Launched in 2021, it aims to approach the history and memory of the Spanish Republican exile to the young generations throughout an interactive methodology that includes training and socio-cultural activities. It was idealized and is coordinated by a multidisciplinary team of young professionals and researchers in the fields of history, communications, political sciences, archaeology, environment, and tourism.
