This playlist contains the full recording of the first Repairing the Past seminar at the Museum of Ethnology and World Cultures of Barcelona. Organized by the EUROM and the MUEC in 2021, these debates focus on decolonial movements and their growing influence over the last decade. The discussion addresses the enduring legacies of colonialism—including migration policies, racism, global inequality, and the dispossession of cultural heritage—and explores demands for reparations, the restitution of looted artifacts, and the resignification of public space. Featuring perspectives from international experts, museum representatives, and civil society actors, the seminar offers a comprehensive look at the debates surrounding colonial heritage and the role of museums in addressing historical injustices.
