We are proud to announce the inauguration of a new mural as part of the collaborative project Log Walls, coinciding with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on November 25.
This latest artwork, created by artist Roc Blackblock, is part of the research project Her·Story, conducted by the teachers and students of the Secondary Public School Quatre Cantons in Barcelona.
The mural pays tribute to four remarkable women whose lives and actions have left a profound mark on the fight against fascism
Neus Català – Resistance fighter and Holocaust survivor who devoted her life to preserving the memory of those who perished in Nazi camps.
Fanny Schoonheyt – A journalist and combatant in the Spanish Civil War, known for her bravery and dedication to the anti-fascist cause.
Emma Goldman – A trailblazing anarchist, writer, and activist who fought for women’s rights, free speech, and social justice.
Concha Pérez – A passionate anarchist and feminist who played a key role in the fight for workers’ rights and gender equality in Spain.
This artistic and educational initiative not only celebrates these women’s legacies but also serves as a collective call to action against gender-based violence, emphasizing the importance of feminist memory in shaping a more equitable future.
