This video documents the 5th International Conference “Repairing the Past”, held on 4 December 2025 at the Museum of Ethnology and World Cultures (Barcelona).
The event brought together scholars, activists, and memory practitioners to discuss colonial legacies, policies of reparation, and contemporary debates on historical justice. The programme included the presentation of the book What Do We Do with the Colonial Past? Justice, Reparation and Memory (Edicions Bellaterra), edited by Celeste Muñoz Martínez and Oriol López Badell.
Organised by the European Observatory on Memories (EUROM) in collaboration with the Barcelona City Council and the Museum of Ethnology and World Cultures, the conference forms part of the Repairing the Past programme, which promotes critical, transnational reflections on colonialism, memory, and reparations.
