This series of short interviews and a video clip delve into the exhibition “The Democratic Skylight. Policies of life and death in the Spanish State (1868 – 1975)“. The interviews feature Germán Labrador Méndez (Curator), Francisco Ferrándiz (Anthropologist and Adviser for the Secretary of State for Democratic Memory), Francisco Etxeberria (Forensic Doctor and Professor at the University of the Basque Country), Nuria Ricart Ulldemolins (Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Barcelona), and Jordi Guixé (Historian and Director of the EUROM).
The exhibition critically examines the intricate connections between death, politics, and democratic memory in the context of modern Spanish history, all within the framework of human rights and cultures of peace. This exhibition is sponsored by the Ministry of the Presidency, Relations with the Courts and Democratic Memory, through the Secretary of State for Democratic Memory, along with the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda – ENAIRE Foundation, and Acción Cultural Española (AC/E).
