Hispania Nova is the first online journal of Contemporary History in Spanish. Founded in 1998 by Ángel Martínez de Velasco and Julio Aróstegui it is disseminated digitally through the Open Access system, with one issue per year in January, structured around a dossier, original and unpublished research articles and book reviews. The publication aims to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the area and to the debate between historians and social scientists at the international level. All published articles are evaluated by the double-blind peer-review system.
