About the Srebrenica Genocide
The Srebrenica massacre, carried out in July 1995 by Bosnian Serb forces, led to the deaths of over 8,000 Bosnian Muslim men and boys, making it the largest mass killing in Europe since World War II. The International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia declared this atrocity an act of genocide. The Srebrenica Memorial Center is dedicated to researching, preserving, and commemorating the memory of this tragic event, managing the Memorial, cemetery, and associated museum spaces.
