International Women’s Day 2023

Online Campaign "Regarding the pain of others"

To commemorate International Women’s Day 2023, the EUROM and the filmmaker Carolina Astudillo will launch the short film “Regarding the pain of others” throughout an online campaign involving the Parco Nazionale della Pace di Sant’Anna di Stazzema (Italy). The film will be premiered throughout EUROM’s Youtube channel in original version (Spanish and Italian) with subtitles in English, Spanish and Catalan on March 8, 2023, at 1 pm.

“Regarding the pain of others” takes its title from Susan Sontag’s book and explains the unpublisehd story of the sisters Adele and Syria Pardini who survived the massacre perpetrated by the Nazi army in Santa Anna di Stazzema on August 12, 1944. They were 8 and 4 years old at the moment of the tragedy, and nowadays, they play a key role in defending freedom and democracy within their community.
