The Track | Movie Screening and Q&A

Youth, Sport and Memories of the War in the Balkans

The Track is a coming-of-age documentary that follows the lives of three adolescents over five years in post-war Sarajevo. As they train on an old luge track still marked by the scars of conflict, they navigate the challenges of growing up in a society where the past remains ever-present. The film offers a moving portrait of friendship, identity, resilience, and the power of dreams in the face of adversity.

This screening organized by EUROM –the first in Barcelona– will be followed by a discussion with one of the protagonists, Mirza Nikolajev, and the director, Ryan Sidhoo (online), moderated by the journalist specializing in the Balkans, Eric Hauck.

Free activity with prior registration.

Organised by the European Observatory on Memories of the Fundació Solidaritat Universitat de Barcelona (EUROM), in collaboration with Zumzeig Cinecooperativa.
