Information and power around the working commissions of parliamentary and representative institutions

International Seminar
The purpose of this seminar is to present current researches on representative and parliamentary working commissions, covering the period from the 14th to the 21st century

One of the great social challenges of the 21st century is the fit of popular participation in decision making. In order to develop the necessary mechanisms to favor an active and permanent participation of citizens in the design of policies that directly affect their daily lives, it is also necessary to analyze who, where and how decisions are being made. In that sense, the role played by the working commissions of parliamentary and representative institutions in the gestation of decisions should be at the forefront of analysis.
