The Track | Movie Screening and Q&A

Youth, Sport and Memories of the War in the Balkans

The Track is a coming-of-age documentary that follows the lives of three adolescents over five years in post-war Sarajevo. Training on an abandoned luge track still marked by the scars of conflict, they confront the challenges of growing up in a society where the legacy of war remains ever-present. Through their journeys, the film offers a powerful and intimate portrait of friendship, identity, resilience, and the pursuit of dreams in the face of adversity.

This special screening at Zumzeig Cinecooperativa—the film’s first public screening in Barcelona—will be followed by a discussion with one of the protagonists, Mirza Nikolajev, and director Ryan Sidhoo (joining online). The conversation will be moderated by journalist and Balkans specialist Eric Hauck.

Free admission with prior registration.
