The EUROM and the Ateneu Memoria Popular promote a performance of this audio drama written by Rosa J. Devesa and based on real stories of women who spent years in Spain’s post-war prisons. Through scenic games, body work, music and a poetic text, Water! weaves different stories that are interpreted by three actresses. The function will take place at La Model Memory Site on October 18, 2023, at 7 p.m., and will be followed by a colloquium moderated by Kathrin Golda-Pongratz.
Synopsis
Two women meet in a department store. Everything is normal, until one of them drags the other for no apparent reason and locks her in a place where something extraordinary happens. The events occurring since that moment will open the eyes of another woman who works there, making her aware of the history of places like that, which served as prisons not many years ago.
